Dollar Re De$ign Project

With the US dollar tanking, why not inject some interest into it by re-designing. The Dollar ReDe$ign Project by Richard Smith intends to do just that by inviting users to submit their idea of what the dollar should look like. There are some silly ideas, but there are also some really well designed gems.

Great Exercise: Redesign Ugly Flyers

This guy took neighbourhood posters and redesigned them.

This is one of my favourite movie posters to come out this past decade. I remember seeing it at a movie theatre and it immediately stuck out, clean, powerful, no junky clutter/distorted type/super photoshopped images/ and the image leaves you wanting to know what's going on, not a complete summary of every element in the movie . For those of you that havn't seen Funny Games, be warned, it's pretty brutal (mind you I havn't seen the American version, which this poster is from, but assume it's just as abrasive).
