Compare screen type
The Typetester is an online application for comparison of the fonts for the screen. Its primary role is to make designer's life easier. As the new fonts are bundled into operating systems, the list of the common fonts will be updated.

The typography manual is a brand new app for all type freaks who want to know everything about type and how to use it. It is a pocket resource for typography, with more than 60 pages of type tutorials, type history, guides and info for setting type, type anatomy and terminology that shows you everything about type, as well as latest typography news. It even has a ruler to count the text size on a magazine you read...What more do want from an app? This has it all.
Eco Font
How much of a letter can be removed while still maintaining readability? After extensive testing with all kinds of shapes, the best results were achieved using small circles. After lots of late hours (and coffee) this resulted in a font that uses up to 20% less ink. Free to download, free to use. More here
